BEAUTIFUL BABY

Hey guys, good to have you here. It's been a long long long, o well, long raised to the power of maybe a thousand while. O yes, and I will tell you a loooooonnnnnnng while raised to the power of a thousand it's been. I hate to do this again, but I just have to, I sincerely apologisr to you, o yes, you *do not turn back. Yes to you, for being away for this long while. I really hope ypu find a place to forgive me.
Yes forgive me quickly please, cause we have a lot of catching up to do. There's sooo much jist about BABY! Yeah, some I would dish it here and others, o well, see me in camera.
Really, I am giving you a very beautiful dimpled smile right now cause, I feel strongly that I have been forgiven and you are all ears now, so here we go!
Few months to BABY, o for you who may not know who or maybe what BABY is, BABY is annual forum held for young people within and outside Nigeria with hte aim of helping these young people be better people. It was coined from Be A Better You. So, as I was saying earlier, Star's Delight;s team had started planning for the second edition of BABY which was to hold in the Centre of Excellence. The team memebers had to go to various organizations to have them come be part of the forum or teenagers. Star's Delight decided to have product companies come around because that will give them the opportunity to have their products known by a large audience of teenage folks.
Amazingly these product companies came around and the teenage participants had an amazing time.Getting all the product companies that came around was a huge task, but God was sooo faithful. Every single thing was on point.
The previous day,  I had to be somewhere for an event and when I was coming back to Lagos for Star's Delight;s big day, the vehicle had a challenge, it just wouldn't start. O MY! Not a day like this, but you know, I was sstrangely calm about evrything, and thank God the vehicle started working and I got back to Lagos in good time, and slept for say an hour, got up and headed to the venue of the annual forum.
Rain began to threaten again, but even at that, the forum participants still came, yeah late, better late than never, you know, and the programme was just the best we ever had. We had three sessions, Be A better You on Academics, Career and Relationship. It was indeed an awesome  experience. I just can't stop thanking God for the huge success amidst the challenges, everything was well. The Star's Delight team members were just the best, they put n their all into the success of BABY 2.
As for you my dearest and loyal reader, I don't think words can truly express all that happened, here are some of the pictures from BABY 2. ENJOY.

B.A.B.Y is here!!!

Hey guys, hmm! Where do I start from? Ok, first things first, how are you doing? I really do hope, great is the answer. It’s been a while, and I mean a long long while. Really, my mind has always been with you, o yes you my dear reader, every now and then, you come to my mind, but soo many things have been happening.

Now, I sincerely apologize for being away for a while, it was a long while for me you know? *smiles

Ok, this is just for you and as soon as you are done, be nice enough to spread the message to not just a  friend but to friends.

Star’s Delight hosts a forum for teenagers every year, o yes, we do that, it’s basically a motivational/inspirational forum and our aim is to groom teens to be better people and eventually the best. Last year which was the first joint forum for teenagers, held in the coal city Enugu State and to say it was a grande success is an understatement, it was tagged B.A.B.Y. Right now I can hear your silence screaming, B.A.B.Y? What’s that , o well, it’s simple Be A Better You, so that’s where our B.A.B.Y  comes from.

This year 2013, Star’s Delight deemed it fit to host another motivational/inspirational forum for  teenagers tagged B.A.B.Y 2, and this year’s forum is just around the corner, this is part of the reason I’ve been away, yes I know, reason not too good enough, no worries, I would make it up to you * wink.

Guess what? It’s holding in the Centre of Excellence Lagos State, and trust me, this year promises to be soooo on point, exciting, and even greater than what we had in the Coal city last year. The date is Saturday July 6^th 2013 at Dansol High School Hall Agidingbi Ikeja Lagos, time is 9:00am

You don’t want to miss this year’s forum for anything and trust me I don’t want you my dear reader to miss it for anything, I look forward to meeting you, o yes you, don’t look back, *smiles, on that day, I really can’t wait to see you, but I have no choice but to wait

You sure don’t want to enjoy all the goodies alone, so invite not just a friend but friends, I look forward to seeing you on Saturday 6^th July, by 9:00am. So, see you then.

NOT AN ISLAND

Hi dearest, it's so good to have you here; I hope you've been great, well, I have been. Let’s get started…

It’s weekend, the compound is a mess and you really need to do serious cleaning, you decide on where to start from and then you get a broom stick and you begin to sweep the compound. In less than five minutes, you are so tired and you have not achieved anything as regards making the compound clean. The rational thing to do is to get a full broom and begin to work with it; you realize that it makes the work easier and faster too.

Pay attention to this dearest, God did not create only you in this world, he created others so that you can interact, help and affect each other. Imagine if you kept sweeping the whole compound with the broom stick, you certainly would not finish. It’s the various sticks that actually make up the big effective broom. It’s the You coming together with other You’s that makes your life meaningful; never underestimate anyone because that person may just be the last stick to make your broom an effective one. Enough of pride, hidden or open, you will be shocked at the seemingly little person’s effect in achieving your God ordained destiny. Never forget to put Him inn and watch how beautiful your life will turn out to be.

HOLD ME TIGHT

Hi dearest, I’m glad to have you here, sure you've been great.Enjoy as we go through this………

Back in school, for two years,  I happened to have my room on the last floor. It was not always an easy task to climb especially when I had a very long day. Usually, I get my keys from the reception and start heading upstairs, I realized that I always held my key tightly in my hands, suddenly when I get to say the third floor, there’s this fear that the key will drop off my hands, I then unconsciously hold it tighter and closer to my hand, get to my room and enjoy the comfort of my room.

When you have a car, no matter how tired you are, you certainly will not throw the keys away, keys are  so important that you can't say, "My hands hurt, so I have to throw you away". Hmm, you'll so be on your own when you need it the most. dearest, you have so many things on your inside that are of more worth and value than your key that you hold so tightly to, then do not throw it away. If you think you can draw, c’mon start drawing, you think you can sing, start now, whatever you think you can do start now. Just the way you hold tightly to your keys, hold tightly those beautiful gifts He has put on your inside and watch the gift affect thousands and bring joy to God and you. Listen, if you think you can do anything and you are not doing it, it’s as simple as throwing the keys to your house into the ocean. So start now, Hold what you have tight and watch your life become so on point.

AT YOUR SERVICE

Hi dearest, so good to have you here, sure you've been good. Enjoy this piece.........                                 

 It’s a beautiful morning, the birds are chirping, you can feel the sun rays through the window, this is one of the mornings that you do not want to leave your bed; not like you want some more sleep you just want to lounge. Suddenly, you hear a knock on your door, “Yes, come inn”. It’s a gentle man in a white shirt and a black suit. Eyes opened wide “What are you doing here and how may I help you”?. Well I am Laurence and I’m here to serve you; whatever you want will get to you sooner than you think. What! I can hear you exclaim, I can’t believe this, I fantasize this a lot. You smile to yourself. O.K Laurence, I want my breakfast in bed, I want my water for bathing to be slightly warm, I want my room to be clean, I want this I want that. You just can’t believe this is actually happening to you. Sooner than you think all these things are done, courtesy Laurence. The amazing thing is that he does it with so much joy and with speed too. My! Can I have this beautiful experience every day? I wish! Sooner than I think Laurence will be gone and I’ll have to go back to my normal way of living. You hear yourself soliloquize. Hmm,dearest, do you know you have “Laurence” at your service every time, he’s always with you but you never ask him to do anything for you. Listen, when I say Laurence, not Laurence Laurence you know, I simply mean angels. Angels are at your service, you can ask them to do anything for you and I mean anything but do you really engage them? For me, I have started engaging them and it's been such a beautiful experience. You are not supposed to beg them, you are to command and instruct them to do what you want. I attended a programme and  I was famished, when the programme ended I knew that most people were going to head towards the cafeteria, with the population in the cafeteria I wouldn't have been able to get food with ease, so my option was to sleep hungry. I sure did not want to sleep hungry then I just asked my angel to get there and speed up the process. You won’t believe this, the speed at which I got my food from the cafeteria was not usual, courtesy, my angel. Understand that they are waiting for you to put them to work remember, they are always at your service, so why suffer when you have an innumerable number waiting to serve you.

SMALL, YET MIGHTY!

Hi dearest, I’m so glad to have you here; I really hope you’ve been doing great. Happy new year to you, I’m  so excited we both made it to this grande year 2013. Relax and enjoy, this experience of mine…….

Sometime ago, I read something short but beautiful and it hasn’t left me since then; it goes thus,” You think you are too small to make impact? Try sleeping in a room with a mosquito”. It was funny but I remembered some nights I just couldn’t sleep well, no thanks to a mosquito, now take note of that a mosquito. Hmmmm, it kept singing in my ears and every attempt to kill it proved abortive.

Just a while ago, I was preparing for one of my speaking engagements, when I felt a very piercing and excruciating pain. O my! What could that have been? I started searching for whatever it was that dealt with me in such manner. I just couldn’t wait to find out what made me feel so much pain. Now, could you just do me a favour by guessing what  I saw.

Oh yes! You are sooooo right, I saw an ant, You sure had a clue from the image. “Smiles”  To be specific, a  small black ant.What! Was this what gave me so much pain? I killed it with so much strength and anger. Mission accomplished! Do you believe that I could still feel the pain hours, after the initial attack? I think you should believe me cause you  should have had your own share from this small but mighty ant one time or another.

Hmmm, this was a very painful but beautiful experience; it just made me understand the more that you my dearest friend, are not too small to make lasting impact in another’s life, your immediate environment and even in the world at large. If an ant could make that impact though negative on my skin, then how much more you? Start making that impact NOW, but make sure it’s positive. Don’t worry about my skin, it doesn’t hurt again, but trust me I wouldn’t forget the pain that kept me up for a while. “Wink wink”.
