FIXIT OR LOOSEIT

Hey guys, good to have you here. I trust you have been very well; it's always good to have you savor the lines, and give feedback. Thanks guys!

So, I had this experience only few days ago and thought to share with you the lessons I learnt from it.

Two years ago, I got this pouch for my tab. My attraction to the pouch in the first place was the royal touch that came with it. It was a purple colored pouch and had glitters on it. Anytime, I brought my tab out, I always heard words like, 'You've got a lovely pouch', 'Where did you get that pouch from?'

I would then respond with this warm smile and give multiple ‘thank you’ phrases for the kind words.

Just about two weeks ago, I realized that a part of the glitter had come off the pouch, and had begun to dangle. As soon, as I noticed this deformity, I decided I was going to get a glue and fix it, just to get my pouch glitter back in shape.

Days passed, a week passed and for some reasons owed to procrastination, I didn’t get to fix my pouch early enough. Only a few days ago, I took my pouch from my bag, as I needed to do some work on my tab.  Guess what guys? The glitter had totally come off! How that happened, when it happened I can't say, but what I can say is that I lost the glitter that made my pouch 'shine', just because I didn't fix it.

It then occurred to me, if you don't fix it now, then you lose it. I didn't fix the glitter to my pouch and I lost it. Guys, the 'it' could be anything, of value to you. If you think it's a relationship, fix it, so you don't lose it. Perhaps it’s your academics, fix it so you don't lose it, just maybe it’s your career fix it, so you don't lose it. A negative attitude? Fix it, so you don't lose good people and good opportunities in your life.

No matter how irrelevant it feels or looks, don't procrastinate, fix it so you don't lose it. I learnt the hard way as I lost a bit of the 'shine' to my pouch. Whatever 'it' may represent in your life, fix it guys, so you don't lose it.  A call, an extra hour of study, a conference, or even an apology may just be what you need to do to fix it. Fix it guys, and you don't have to lose it.
Loads of love,
Smiling D.
